As brutal as this winter was for runners in the High Country, the spring has been, well, perfect. The sun has been shining everyday with a nice little breeze and no rain. The birds are chirpin' the leaves are growin' and the rivers still flowin'.
I spent my weekend out on the trails for the first time this year, logging runs of 13, 10, 9 and 2 miles. The paces have been dropping as well with the body feeling limber and strong. Just have to love love love running this time of year. I believe the only season that rivals the spring is the fall. The transition seasons, with their moderation and change are so refreshing:)
Hope your steps have come as easily as mine so far this month!!
I'm with you on spring and fall. Cheers to good running!
ReplyDeleteWe've had an especially warm spring this year, following an especially cold and snow-filled winter. I love the heat, though, so I'm not complaining!
ReplyDeleteTotally agree . . . we runners "suffer" through summer and winter (to a degree) just to be able to really enjoy spring and fall! I love it!
ReplyDeleteHi Sean,
ReplyDeleteCheers to perfect running weather:) I am with you...got to love this time of year!! Keep up the great work Sean!
Oh, this weather is amazing!!! We're getting rain for the second time today. But I'm tapering, so it's fine :)
ReplyDeleteGlad your running is going so smoothly
Spring is my 2nd favorite time of year - 2nd only to fall. Enjoy it - I know I am!
ReplyDeleteHow are you coming getting up to 70+ mpw?
I agree with you on the Spring and Fall theory! It's so nice to run in moderate temperatures. Good work on those trails!
