(Not So) Recent Winter Running Pics

Here are a couple of photos from a recent 7 miler with Lily, the little prankster dog pictured below. She has a motor that doesn't quit and really helps me some days to do what I don't think I want to do.

It is interesting how this sort of running is so joyful... no other goal but to be outside moving along the terrain. There is no hope of running fast and so being relaxed we can run our best, fluid and strong. The footfalls are gentle and silent as the flakes flutter and fall to rest underfoot.


Enjoy these days when they are here. The oppression of summer is never far away.
